Re: Air Conditioner odor
Thanks for t h e link. However I am using zaal noflex digester it works great and I think it works as advertised but I think the issue is the plastic of the tanks have become permeated from odors before me owning the boat. Now If I open the tank it is a different smell from what the residual smell is in the bilge.

Re: Air Conditioner odor
I previously used noflex. Healthy Boater did a better job. You use less and it's a third of the cost.

Re: Air Conditioner odor
Problem is as you found out the AC is open to the rear bilge. Under there is where your holding tank is located. IMHO you should address the issue of the smell in there which is most likely permeated holding tank hoses. New hoses will eliminate the smell. Bottom line is there should be no smell coming from a bilge and if there is, something needs to be cleaned, fixed or changed

Re: Air Conditioner odor
This post is 2 yrs old. I stated this then , Regardless if there's a smell or not isolating the hvac unit from the bilge will be more efficient if your not pulling air from the bilge, just like your not pulling air at home from your crawl space
