New Carver Owners - '03 366 Motor Yacht
My wife and I now the owners of an '03 366 Aft Cabin Motor Yacht + new members of the forum. As you can tell from the pic, the boat does not have a front windshield cover. Have priced a custom one from a local shop; but before pulling the trigger thought we'd ask if anyone has any insight into ordering a pre-fab one online (haven't found anything thus far).

Welcome to the forum and Carver.....nice boat.......as to the window cover, go with the custom, in the end it will fit right and I really don't think you will find anything already made up that actually fits.
Your only choice will be what color do you choose and the material....consider the temp in the salon, your canvas person should be able to help you with that, another reason to use local IMO.....good luck with your new boat......

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Welcome. Lots of choices of material but Phifertex mesh is a good option for your cover I have this on my boat I did make mine myself. . It blocks the uv and also allows you to see out rather than just blocking all view. It's really not difficult to sew up a cover either but if the price to have one made is reasonable and you don't want to make it then that answers that.

Gr8 Boat, custom cover is the way to go. Go with the UV Screening, you can adjust how much or less light you want into the boat and as said you can see out.

Re: New Carver Owners - '03 366 Motor Yacht
Congrats and welcome aboard Robert. What a dreamboat you have, thanks for sharing a picture of her. As the guys have mentioned, custom is the way to go. Even if you found an original replacement, there's no guaranty your current snaps would line up with the new snap locations if they were pre-installed. The last thing you want to do is punch new holes in her or the new canvas. With a custom one, the fabricator will match your current snap locations. Now would also be the time to get them to do any repairs required on the existing canvas, address major leaks, replace foggy vinyl windows, or make modifications to suite your particular needs.
Looking forward to another pic with a new front cover

Re: New Carver Owners - '03 366 Motor Yacht
I agree the custom cover is the way to go. I just had one made for my 44 CMY this summer. One thing to consider as well. I had the sun screen made for my windshield, however, I also had a solid canvass cover made that snaps on top of the sun screen with dual snaps. This gives us more options on those really hot sunny days. Just a thought.
