I really like the Citizen eco drive also however even though they are powered by light they do die! Yes there is a capacitor in there that is similar to a battery and after about 8-10 years they are in need of changing. I usually by my replacement on ebay and change it myself just like all my quartz watches.

Have several Citizens and others but my go to watch on the boat is one of my Suunto. The Regatta is actually a sailors watch for tacking so needless to say I don’t know how to use it...
