On our 2006 Carver 36 MY , we have been adjusting the Clarion CMD4 head unit settings as well as the remote wired helm controller. It appears the fader set to all front is salon and helm. Fader all rear is aft bedroom only, but there's a knob in the aft bedroom to lower the aft stateroom volume even lower?
My question is why the helm speakers appear to be 50% less volume than the salon speakers when they appear to be joined/linked on the same volume control? Is there some other volume reducer for the helm I haven't found yet? Does the Helm remote control have and override for the Helm speakers, if so how is that adjusted?
Wondering how to increase Helm volume and decrease salon volume for more even balance, without just replacing the whole thing with a Fusion 3 zone unit (maybe later)
As always, appreciate the feedback,
Helm speaker volume low

Is there a round knob on the helm somewhere similar to the one in aft cabin? Usually there is, to control helm volume.

Verify if you have a seperate amp controlling the outside sound. We do and we adjusted the amps output to better suit our needs. Ours we behind the storage area of the fridge. That is where the radio is located.

I went out today and looked all over the helm area, no knobs... had hoped so though! Guess I'll need to pull the CMD4 head and switch the speaker wiring around, so front is Helm and rear is cabin, with aft bedroom.

Ours is the same brand. Should be around the radio head area. On there you find the gain and fader controls.
