Ok got some great info with my last question, thanks!
Our Mariner does not have a waste tank monitor and I want to install one.
Looking for suggestions from the experts....
Anyone have the SCAD Solo Tank Monitor? Looks perfect since external probes but looking for real world results.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Waste tank monitor
I don't have one either, neither do I have fresh water monitors. I have been thinking about this as well. Let us know how it goes!

Re: Waste tank monitor
I have experience with those units from the get go. They originally were introduced by Snake River quite some time ago which is now Tech-Edge https://tankedge.com/products.html . Installed both holding and water tank units on my previous boat which worked really well. You do need to calibrate full and empty but once that is done you are good to go. Definitely the best option since the "probe" is never exposed to the gunk in a holding tank so it will simply work all the time.
Here is a good description of how they work on the scad site. http://www.scadtech.com/tank_monitors
