i installed a electric fireplace in the crt hole in my my 405. looks really cool sets a mood too. i have electric heat if needed and sure beats hauling wood around on the boat for a real fireplace .

Could you imagine a boat with a real woodburning fireplace. I wonder if such a thing even exists.

It probably did but now resides at the bottom of what ever body of water it was originally afloat on.
Thank you for the help!

Don't forget that for many years boats were powered by wood or coal boilers!

That little fireplace in Hans' link looks interesting! I know my insurance company would find it interesting, as would our marina dock master. The conversation could start like this,..."What is that wood burning smoke smell coming from your boat?" "Ah,..umm,...probably the electric simulated wood burning pizza cook oven I installed. By the way, can I store some small wood chunks next to my dock box? How dry are these wood deck planks on our docks? Is that a woodchuck swimming in the marina? Can he chuck wood?"
It just goes to show, Hans knows where all the cool stuff is, or he has a link for it! Keep 'em coming!
