I on the other hand live on the swim platform and use the stern covered cockpit to get out of the sun.

Re: Twice thinking
Level access and a cockpit were the primary motivators that we went for the 410SS. We had a Cruisers 3650 aft cabin that we loved however got tired of stairs and found ourselves somewhat isolated when anchored out with friends as we sat on the poop deck while our friends enjoyed their cockpits(360 Mariner and 32’ Mariner)
On the other hand, we sacrificed the space that our aft cabin and master head gave us but it’s all about the compromise. All in all, we got more of our must-haves and won’t look back.

Not that I have seen. Got the opportunity to visit 3 brand new Italian Azimut yachts. They were delivered from overseas to the port of Montreal and were being driven down to Chicago for the boat show, fresh off the press so to say. They overnighted at our marina while en route, got myself a private tour of all three. What a disappointment when it came to use of space, even the head was almost unusable. Seemed like everything was designed based on aesthetics. I have been abord quite a few boats in my time and not yet have I seen anything that really makes my day practical wise apart from many offerings from Carver and Bayliner/Meridian.
As for Luxury yachts, they just build bigger to accommodate what is required and could not give a hoot about making use of what we consider valuable lost space. Sure wish I had a full height walk in engine room at times though.
I had a similar experience in a friends 40 Tiara. A very beautiful boat. Well built. Great quality. Poor use of space below. i could not believe how cramped everything below was. He actually liked the layout of my Bayliner 3055 Ciera over his Tiara and was surprised at the room in a 30 foot boat. Again this is not a knock against Tiara just my opinion.
To be honest a Tiara was out of my price range anyway. I was in more of a Bayliner, Carver, Rinker, Larson income level when it came to buying new boats.

Re: Twice thinking
Hey Pep, I would say you are in the Captain's Chair ( drivers seat ). You have a no lose situation. I have no idea where this "other woman" is but to recap. 1. You love your boat. Nothing significant about it disappoints you, and you feel like the king of the world. 2. You find some desire in the other boat, but it also has a down side, created by the desirous feature. 3. This is simply a matter of perspective. SO....just take the path of your choice, and let results guide your course. If it is meant to be, it will be. You may even find out that the owner is selling because he/she wants your model. Maybe a trade? Maybe an opportunity you do not even see at this point. No matter which way you go, it's a win! I went from an Express to our Mariner with a certain amount of trepidation, but no regrets and not any remorse. Everything has it's give & takes. Enjoy your boat, life, good fortune, and dance! The only person I ever knew who wished he bought the other one, was the friend who did not use good judgement and bought without survey/sea trial. Lost 2 seasons of boating, replaced two engines, and may never develop that confidence we all need with our vessels. He will always hear those quirky sounds, even if they are just wind noise. You know, there are millions of people out there that can't pull up to the gas dock and take on 200 gallons. Heck, they can't even put 5 gallons of gas in their car because they need to buy food! We are the fortunate, lucky, blessed ones!

Re: Twice thinking
Finally, like Hans said. It is still a buyers market with our size vessels and twin engines. You are happy enough to hold your ground with your boat, but just interested enough in the other to take advantage of a buyers market. This sounds more like a lot of fun and adventure! My advice on life and matters like this......Dance, and use sun screen. The other side is, maybe when you really look at this boat, the pics will have told a different story. If the boat is in my area, let me know. I'll go look at it for you, moisture meter in hand.

Re: Thinking twice.
I store big boats and I have to say that most of my clients are happy with there purchases. There is an occasional after thought from one or two but they either sell out or move up fairly quickly to get over it. Whatever you have on the water remember it gives you enjoyment that most people can only dream of so enjoy the moment.
