I have a 1987 Aft Cabin with twin Mercruiser 340s. Has anyone ever done or heard of installing some type of muffler system to quiet it down? If so, could you supply any information pertaining to that.
Thanks

Dave,

You can try Corsa Mufflers. They are an external bolt on with a flapper. Go fast boats use them in areas with noise restrictions. You can also install a secondary inline muffler very easily just before it exits your hull. There used to be a rubber octagon shaped bolt on external wet muffler that you would attach over the exhaust hole on the outside of your hull. I have seen a bunch of them at boat shows but can't remember the name...I'll keep looking.
