Removing the Sole TV?

Post by lunasea »

I just bought a used 2005 39 MY and I want to replace the TV's with something a little more modern.. Does anyone know how to get the TV out? I know boats usually have some hatch or secret compartment, but I cannot seem to find it.. for any of these TV's especially the salon.. HELP..

The Tvs are held in with 2 means of attachment (yours may have either or both). There is a nylon strap that goes around the body of the TV inside the cabinet. get a long steak knife and cut it. If that doesn't remove it, then you have both means. The TVs are sitting on strong double sided tape. Lots of it. Take the steak knife and slide it in and out under the bad of the TV. It will come out once you have done that. I just did mine on my 506 and it was the same in my Silverton prior.
