Hoping to get some insight from the group. I winterized and serviced our 356 last fall before it was wrapped for the winter. I did not get the transmissions serviced so I’m planning on doing that when it gets in the water this spring. I did not record the info off the id plates on the transmissions. So I called Carver, they gave me the model as HSW800. Tried to look that up and there are multiple transmissions in that category but I’m thinking the new model number for my transmission is ZF85 IV.
Does that sound correct? It’s going to be a couple weeks before the wrap comes off so I can get in the boat and I’d like to get new filters ordered.

If they're what I'm thinking, the filters are pricey but a lot of guys simply clean them and reuse. Having said that, unless you are the first owner of the vessel, you don't know how old the filters are so on that alone, it's best to replace them so you have a record of their age moving forward.
When you do the oil change, check the condition of the oil. If you're up to it, open up the filter and look for metal filings. This will tell you if they've ever been serviced before. They should have been replaced after about 25 hours as part of the new transmission break-in period. Filings at that time is normal. If you see filings now, the filters weren't changed or it may be a sign that something is going on internally.

I also think I know what Viper is referring to as those actually are even the same filters used on my Volvo units which must be made by the same manufacturer Hurth or ZF. Yes they are washable as they consist of welded mesh and perforated steel. In my case I ordered 2 and replaced the existing ones which I brought home and cleaned up 100% ready for swap out again next time around.
