Latest news stating one of Canada’s largest ice breakers will be in southern Georgian Bay tomorrow. Hard to believe we are supposed to be going from big ice to boating in 5 weeks

We are getting freezing rain tomorrow night into Monday morning which should make for an interesting traffic situation driving to work. North of me they are forecasting 25cm. :-O It is coming, just taking it's time this year.

Just returned from a work trip to Orlando Florida. I didn't see any ice that wasn't in a drink!

This is for encouragement of us northerners only and is not meant to be a bragging moment. She went in Saturday then made a beautiful trip from North Point Illinois to Racine Wisconsin. Got to use the new Nav/Radar as vis was down. Actually my wife ah the Admiral pointed out a few targets which was fun for both of us. She has never been involved with that part of the cruise so it was great! Grilled burgers with one of the few neighbors and shared a few bottles of wine. Summer will be every soon!!

Sadey - thanks for the post & pics! You get the prize for first in. Glad to see the season is coming. I just finished my teak staining and will be remounting the step frames this week. Lot's of ice up here but areas of open water increasing. We are supposed to get snow on Thursday, should be less than 6" and will melt pretty quick as temps remain in 40's and 50's. Temps today getting to 67F, but will be Cooler By The Lake. 8-) er
