I recently purchased a 1997 Carver 500, so I am new to this forum. The previous owner had the davit removed and I would like to have one installed. Any ideas?
Thanks
Davit

Re: Davit
Welcome aboard Dave.
I'm assuming you're talking about a swim platform davit or do you have a crane for dinghy storage on the hardtop? I don't know if there was a factory option offered by Carver. If there was, maybe someone with the same model/year will chime in. Short of that, is there any hardware left on the boat or platform that would help identify what was there before? Even the bolt pattern left on the platform or hardtop might help identify a brand. Otherwise, we'll need to start from scratch which will require knowing your needs first; what you'll be storing, length, weight, etc.
