Hi,
Does anyone know what glue material Carver used to hold the rubber gasket and screen into the porthole?

Re: porthole screening
did anyone respond to this? One of my screen is damaged, took it apart and saw it was glued also. Trying to figure out what type of adhesive I should use.

Re: porthole screening
Sikaflex makes a 295 UV product which is a UV resistant adhesive sealant. I wouldn't use a silicone based product.

Thanks Viper. Looks like they don't have a small batch. I only need it for one port hole. I'll check to see if I can use this for other purposes on the deck. I do need to reseal some parts, if this works for that then it is worth getting the large one.

Re: porthole screening
The small tube of regular Sikaflex will work too, it just won't have the UV inhibitor. 3M 4200 will work too.

Re: porthole screening
If you got the 10oz UV tube for the caulking gun, do all the screens now because the product in the tube will start going hard pretty quick after it's opened and you'll just end up having to buy another one to do the rest.
