Replacement of Clarion stereo radio

Post by tgebler »

I need to replace the stereo at the helm on my 2000 396 Aft Cabin. I need recommendations for a radio which has bluetooth and will fit into the space where the old radio is located. Thanks.

If its a standard single DIN, any Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, etc. should do the job. I believe they all have BT now.

I replaced my clarion 4 with a clarion 8. Same footprint which is a double DIN. The 5 CD player that came with the CD won’t work with it. I was able to hook a fusion Bluetooth connector to the back of the Clarion 8 and it works great. The remote on the helm works but the little screen doesn’t work.

Next time I will put in a fusion with a fusion remote and connect it to my Raymarine systems. But the Clarion 8 works great.
