Thank you! I was out at the boat yesterday and actually ran the darn AC all day and it worked like a charm... so never got a chance to truly test it out. Go figure! My plan is to run it until it fails, plug it in til at that point to see if the A/C starts back up again with the pump running independently.

It must know I'm wanting to work on it so is being ornery.

That being said, I could not find where the logic board is for that pump? would it be built into the Marine Airrr control panel? if that is the case, anyone know how that thing comes off??

So.... I have bypassed the control board and ran the pump all the time. A/C still would not run. The unit itself “humms” when AC is being called for, but it does not run.

**Could it be low on freant?
**Could it still be the board?
**Could it be the compressor?
**Could it be time for another drink?? YES!!!!

Any thoughts? As always, i’m ever in debted to you all for your help!

Thank goodness global warming has not found Northern Ohio... been a cold and raining spring/summer so far so not a huge need for A/C just yet.

Do you know why it hums?

Because it doesn't know the words.

Seriously, when you say it hums, is it a slight noise from the control box? If so, just the transformer and that is normal.

If the unit is not showing an HPF fault, I would reconnect the raw water pump, as that is not he problem. If you are not seeing an LPF, its most likely not low on refrigerant. If it was the compressor, the fan would run and you would see an over current fault. So most likely either a controller issue or a control board issue. If you have a second unit swap the controllers (thermostats) and see if the problem moves to the other unit.

Last season I had a problem with my A/C. It ended up being a bad board. Installed a new one and all was well.

Sorry for the delay here.

Ya, I get no errors!

The hum could be the relay, I could not pinpoint exactly where it was coming from?

I’m thinking it has to be the controller or board. RHrew176, do you happen to recall where you bought yours from?

Make sure you have a lot of ventilation around the unit. Mine stop working intermittently, and it turned out the admiral had stored a bag of rags in front of the ventilation holes of the cabinet. Those units need lots of air flow space. 8-) er

Thanks Cooler! Its pretty clear all around.

I am having trouble finding the control panel? Its a Marine Aire unit, apparently they got bought by Dometic... just don’t want to buy the wrong thing and ave to send it back.

I bought my new card from Boaters Value in Wyandotte Mi. I would think that any good marine place should be able to order what you need. In my case they did not stock the part but ordered it.
