Finally found it!!

Postby km1125 » June 17th, 2019, 2:47 pm

For a couple YEARS now I've been looking around for a Navionics card which I was SURE I had but could not find anywhere. Searched the boat, searched the house thinking I had one more card somewhere. I have two for two different units on the bridge (a plotter and a fishfinder/plotter) but I have another plotter at the lower station that needs a third one. Thought I had one at one point but could not find it.

This weekend on a rainy day were were cleaning the inside of the boat. I actually took the V-berth apart so we could clean in all the various compartments below it.

Low and behold, I found that the CF card had slid down in a crack:

There are two little compartments under the v-berth... one on each side with little access doors. I sometimes put my electronics in those compartments so they are "out of sight/out of mind" especially during the off-season. You can't really see much of the compartment through the door but you can reach all the way to the front of each to stow stuff.

Unscrewing all the panels off the top gives you access to everything, including the whole rode locker, so I took them all off to do a thorough cleaning. That's when I found the card.
