Replacing Holding tank on 1994 Voyager 320

Post by audcarver »

My holding tank is leaking. I have had the boat one month. I can see the "water" leaking at the bottom exhaust fitting. Preparing to remove tank to determine if is fitting or tank. Current tank was install in 2001. It is an aluminum 33 gallon tank. The dimensions are 21L,20H and 17W. It takes up all of the bilge space between gallery and head. As I look for tank that will fit in the 17.5 inch width opening, the largest I have found is 20 gallons. it appears that current tank was custom made. Any and all guidance is very much appreciated.

I personally would find the biggest poly tank I could fit. I wouldn't stick with aluminum for the holding tank.

I agree....a nice heavy gage poly tank is the way to go, fittings in the top, vacuum breaker etc.......no AL for waste....bonus is you can see the tank level with the plastic.... :-D Trionic makes lots of sizes, maybe some custom.....
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

You can get 40gal and I think 50 gal tanks that have a max dim of 17" on one side.
