Re: Engine controls
As in- Go to two levers instead of four? I saw a discussion on the FB group about this just yesterday.
Thanks,

Re: Engine controls
I would be totally lost with 4. Never had or drove a boat with that setup although have seen many.

Re: Engine controls
+1
Why? Is there a problem with the ones you have and do you find it a challenge to operate the separate throttle and shift controls?

Re: Engine controls
Seems like it would be fairly easy to do if you have DTS, but that's merc-specific.

Re: Engine controls
There are aftermarket fly-by-wire units out there too. Nice to do away with cables.

Re: Engine controls
I priced one out many years ago for a dual engine setup and at that time we were talking around $5000 US just to purchase the unit which I would have had to install. Today I will assume around $8000+ US.
That being said I do have Volvo EVC on mine and honestly will never go back to cables, auto engine sync and a boatload of engine diagnostics. Ultra smooth shift and throttle control. Great stuff but difficult to troubleshoot not to mention mega bucks to repair.
