Hydraulic steering cylinders parallel or series?

Post by tonyiiiafl »

I had a RAYPILOT 650 with a Type I pump on my 1994 CARVER 390CPMY. I finally found the label on the cylinders, and have the capacities, so I am wondering if I bought the proper pilot? I went on what was on here. Does anyone know if the steering (SEASTAR) cylinders were plumbed up as parallel or series? If series I am A OK, if Parallel than I hav bought the wrong unit and will be eating Auto Pilot pie.

You only have one, the two rudders are tied together with a tie bar.

THANK YOU! The Admiral is happy I don’t have to tear the bed apart and I HATE the taste of Autopilot pie, especially with the cost of a slice.

THANK YOU!

Raymarine Evolution 200. Truly plug and play. I have it networked into my Ray Q2 radar and e97 and e127. I have to say it is perfect.
