New props for my 530
I'm curious what you all are using for your prop set up. I currently have 31x34 nibral on my 530 with TAMD74P's with ZF 2.55:1 transmissions. I think these are really big wheels and am considering dropping down to 28x31.5 nibral. I recently dinged a prop and after repair, haven't made past 2450 on rpm. I think the prop shop put a couple inches of cup back into the props that had been previously tuned out, but even so I think these are just too big for my set up. See any problem with propping down to 28x31.5? My goal is good engine health, not speed or economy.

Re: New props for my 530
Bring you props and rpm reading to a reputable shop that has prop scan capabilities. They will tune these better than new when done. I know mine are pretty much "safe" and can get 150 rpm over recommended which definitely applies less stress to the engines.
FYI, most props even brand new are not tuned well. I just replaced both and they found one to be pretty much dead on while the other required tuning to bring it up too standards.
