P.S. we are still comparing insurance quotes so If anyone has insight for decent rates on the gulf coast please pass along!

Hello all!
Just wanted to say hi to all from Louisiana! We will be finishing up the deal on our "new to us" 2000 406 Aft cabin next week and then shortly after motoring her home from Texas to Louisiana. We are not new to the boating world, only new to the cruiser style. We have been running a 28' 700 hp catamaran all along the gulf coast attending as many poker runs and go-fast events as we can and now we are going to enjoy our time on the water at a slower pace.
P.S. we are still comparing insurance quotes so If anyone has insight for decent rates on the gulf coast please pass along!

Re: Hello all!
Welcome aboard.
I prefer the slower pace now, way more relaxing. After working hard at a hectic pace all week, kicking back and taking my time works good for me. You also get to see things you never saw wizzing by at 90 mph.
Hope you have a great trip, and remember, we like pictures here

Re: Hello all!
Welcome! Slow down & simplify. I had really good experience with Progressive, but check through an agent. The agents have a better communication process in the event of any claim. Rates here in the Great Lakes were the best, and even went down in the second year of coverage with no claim.

Re: Hello all!
**Just a quick update**
We have taken ownership, made a couple short cruises and have spent many nights aboard our new vessel. So far we are really loving the change of pace. We have yet to motor over to Louisiana and are currently docked in Clear Lake, Tx. at South Shore Harbor. We plan on staying there for a few more months while we continue to get used to the boat, try to discover any hidden issues, and build a spares inventory for the ICW trip.
