3D Printer
Has anyone created a model of their boat? Custom boat modelers charge large sums of money for their beautiful creations but with the advances in 3D printers it might be an economical way to "print" the basic structure and then one could add external parts such as horns, railings, etc. Nice project for the winter months. Sort of like the Revell models I built when I was a kid.

Re: 3D Printer
That would be a cool project. I would think from pictures taken at various angles you could import that into some software to make a 3-D image and send that to the printer.
Would even be more fun to make it functional!!! Throw a couple engines in there and a decent remote!!
