anchor on 3607
I am planning on replacing the Delta anchor on my 3607 with a ROCNA or VULCAN and would like to know if anyone else has installed either of these on their 3607. What weight did you buy? Rocna or Vulcan? Does the Rocna roll bar get in the way?

Think there's an opinion post on this new post page.

Re: anchor on 3607
Sorry - I am simply seeking advice. Could be any new generation anchor - the question is about the roll bar and the 3607 bow sprit/chain roller.
Is that the concern here?

Re: anchor on 3607
I installed the Rocna 55 on my 3607. Much better than the stock Delta imho. Great grabbing and holding power.
Happy with the new anchor! My daughter is constantly in fear of anchoring - she calls it the "angstor"... haha

For the benefit of other 3607 owners, were you able to use the original roller assembly or did you have to replace it for the Rocna?

Re: anchor on 3607
No change to roller assembly, chain guide (hoop thing) or my upgraded Lewmar windlass.
Rocna has that bar across the two blades which I was worried about but all works perfectly.
Best, Bruce

Re: anchor on 3607
I've been very happy with my Delta Plow. Last season I was anchored out in 25 to 35 MPH winds and the anchor held fast. I don't have a windless on my boat so when I went to depart I had a most difficult time freeing my anchor to leave. On all my previous boats I have used a Danforth style anchor without any problems but the plow style does hold better.
Never tried a Rocna so I cannot comment. Good friends of mine love their Bruce anchor.
