1996 355 Aft shower sump

Assuming it is like my 356, pull up the carpet in the aft stateroom. Pull from the back, pulling forward to the end of the berth. There are several openings to the bilge. Most likely, you need to remove the sump cover and it will probably look nasty. If the pump works ok, get a hose and rinse it several times using a good cleaner, like simple green or similar. Several times a season, just put 3-4 ounces of cleaner in the shower drain to keep the sump from getting nasty.

Yep, under the carpet just outside the door into the head. If you use the shower you need to clean it a couple times a year.
If you never cleaned it, it will have some really nice growths in there. Have fun!

Found it! Replaced sump box and back to showers!!

Cool beans! Make sure to test the actual pump. You may have had a bad float switch, they go way more often than the actual pump. er

Note: After showering leave the water running while u get ready. This flushes a lot of the soap out and thus helps clean the shower sump out.

As mike mentions with hot water, in the shower as the sink drains overboard.
