Helpful Boating Websites

Post by RGrew176 »

If you have bookmarked a boating related website that you feel can be helpful to your fellow boaters post it here.

Here is one I feel fits the bill.

I gotta go with Panbo... some of the stuff is above my technological paygrade, but I get a lot of good info from there.

Great idea Rick! Here's one I use a lot on the western Great Lakes, real time info on winds, water temps, wave height and trends. Those on the salt water will find it useful too.

I should have mentioned that bouys are decommissioned for the winter, at least in Lakes Superior and Michigan, and haven't been commissioned yet due to the Covid 19.

Here is another one for wind and direction. Can be used anywhere in the world. There is also an app that you can install on your phone.

Rick, I'd be more inclined to use Ventusky (https://www.ventusky.com/?p=54.38;-5.48;8&l=wind-10m) for that purpose; it's quite a bit more useful at local level, and on a tablet next to your Navionics (or whatever) display is something I've come to trust quite well.
