New to Us 2008 43 Super Sport

Just bought a 43 SS. I’ve got a courtesy light out on the stairs. It’s a thin all white 2 screw light. Tried all the online boating stores but can’t match one. Any help?

Welcome to the forum.....Considering your boat is fairly recent, perhaps a call to Carver and see what the original supplier was, maybe they are still available.

Is it the whole fixture you want or just a bulb ?

Are you sure they are sealed? I have similar lights on my aft deck and the cover will pop out of the center with a thin screwdriver. Just be careful not to pop it our to forcefully near the water as I almost launched mine into the drink.

Can likely pop it off and change the bulb out.

Mine look the same however yours has 2 visible screws. On mine the light cover pops off with a screwdriver inserted below, there is actually a notch for this. Once the cover is off, you can swap the bulb but is also reveals the 4 screws holding it in place.

Just ordered 13 replacements since mine are getting yellowed and looking their age. These use wedge style bulbs which I had already converted to LED so I will use those in the new housings. Oddly enough they were $7 last Friday when I ordered them and now they are $10?

You can try contacting Carver with your hull number and they will give you part numbers and the supplier information.

These fixtures take 161LL bulb available at most auto parts stores. They are 3W (?) but there is a similar one at 6W 194LL (i think?) that would also fit.

I have not found the LED version of this.

There are colored ones as well, if you'd like to change the ambiance. "Google" 161LL bulbs
