95 355 Project Refresh

Thanks everyone.

I used a Sailrite LSZ-1 sewing machine to do all the work. I bought the binding foot attachment from Amazon since they are all the same and it was much cheaper on amazon. I have binding attachments to do anything from 3/4" up to 2" now. The one I used for the flooring was 1.5". It wasn't super fun to work with though. Outside curves are easy, inside ones you need to do by hand. Helps to have a partner flopping all the material around on the table to keep it all pointed in the right direction.
The flooring itself came from boatcoversdirect, they are a drop shipper and had a decent deal on the flooring. Roughly $1200 for enough material to do all that you see in the pictures, and I have enough scraps to make floor coverings for both heads and my dingy floor (that one will have a seam though).
The flooring cuts with a shears so it wasn't hard to do. I followed the video instructions on Sailrite for templating and it went pretty smooth. Getting the template to lay dead flat was important. Once you've traced onto the template it's important to go back with a straight edge and straighten any curvy lines you might have put in there. Sometimes tracing onto the templating material isn't that easy so it's easy to get a wavering line in there.
I traced, straightened, then cut and refit the template. Once that was in place and accurate I transferred it to the material. From there it's cut, bind, throw it back in.
Next step is to put some snaps in it so it doesn't flop around.

I haven't added it up, but I'm sure that machine paid for itself with the back canvas project. The other two are just bonus projects.

New project to add. PO had removed the black coating from the switches. I wanted to clean it up a bit.
I bought new rocker actuators this week and installed them. I do need to swap out a couple that didn’t quite turn out how I wanted, but we are close!
Next step is to swap out some switches so they are backlit with the panel lights. Right now they are backlit when they are turned on.
Super easy change, happy with my results.
