Hi All,
I will be picking up my 380 santego on Saturday, bringing her from Toms River, NJ to my home port of Edgewater NJ.
This vessel is equipped with Mercruiser 8.1s freshwater cooled inboards with 350 hours, and 7.5 kw Kohler gen set with 75 hours.
Any hints, tips, advice or recommendations from Santego owners would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to many good times on the water with family and friends.
Tony T.

As this is the boat and engine combo that we want next, please let me know how she performs with the 8.1 liter engines. We love our 310 Santego, and will eventually move up to the 380.

Ramsport47,
Kenny,
Hope u finally got into a 380 of your own
It’s been 5 seasons with my 380. I still love this boat, the layout and ability to host many guests. Fuel consumption is high when running, about 15-18 gallons per hour per motor at cruising 12-18mph @ 2800-3200 rpm. I’ve had her up to 36 mph @ 4500 rpm for short bursts. That being said, idle speed 600 rpm to about 1000 rpm are your most efficient ranges while still being able to steer for current or wind. I’ve replaced a vdrive, a trans, port and stbd exhaust manifolds, risers, elbows. A few gen set repairs and this a new $1600 fridge. So if u have any questions I know this vessel pretty well.
Regards
Tony
