2004 Carver 360 SS Sanitation Hose
Has anyone attempted replacing the sanitation hose on a 360 Sport Sedan? Looks like the most difficult part is the hose from the head to the pump that goes behind the fuel tank. Also assume there is a duck bill valve(s) I should look at during this repair too. Thanks for the help.

Are you working on 2 problems at once? Duck bills will be in your vacuflush vacuum generator or pump box . Are you having a problem with the vacuflush too? I assume hose replacement due to smell permeating the hose.. Can you tell if the hose is loose behind the tank? If it is you may be able to connect the new hose to the old one temporarily and pull it through using the old hose

Re: 2004 Carver 360 SS Sanitation Hose
I am getting some odor and I can see some discoloration on some of the hose sections where it looks like it could have a small leak (pump out area). Just wondering how tough it is to get to the hose that runs on the port side behind fuel tank. Assume I can get to most of it through second stateroom. Not sure if I need to do duck valves or not (just looking at regular maintenance no problems).

Are you replacing the hose that they use to suck out the sewage from the holding tank?

I am looking to replace all of my sanitation hoses in my 360 SS. Just wondering if anyone has tackled this. Again, it looks like they are yellowing, I have odor and they have probably never been done. Just trying to understand the effort. Thanks.

Ok, let's narrow this down. Odor. Have you replaced the sanitation filter? The way it's placed, if you get a big enough wave on the Port side, water goes into the filter a scraps it. Found out .

Yep did the filter. Also finding the vacuflush cycles randomly every once in a while so troubleshooting that as well.

One thing I was taught by an older boater, with tons of knowledge, is to flush down the toilet pure vegetable oil.
This lubed the whole system and helps all the seals in the vacu flush. Do 1/2 of a 1 liter bottle at a time. Also, check the seals at the top of the mech that opens when you flush. Make sure these are correct also. Never do that with mineral oil.
I've been doing this for years as part of the maintenance routine.

Take a screw driver and tighen all clamps you can find from the head to the vacuflush vacuum generator that might take care of your small air leak. I generally don't leave my vacuflush powered up all the time. Turn it on when needed i have a switch by the head.. If the duck bills are bad its really no big deal to change them the setup works great for many years without mucking with it. one thing is flushing a clear bowl of water after #2 to help clear any residue. if you put oil in your system it might delay the fact but it won't go away.
