Re: Introducing myself
My wife and I have been boaters since 1990. Owned 4 other boats until our most recent purchase of a Carver 374. A big jump up from our 24' bayliner. Closed on the boat in March and the border closed that weekend. It took until last weekend to get our boat from Canada into Blaine Wa. Quite the ordeal. Plan on taking our boat home to Alaska in the Spring, hopefully without COVID RESTRICTIONS. Already planning on several upgrades. Can't wait for warmer weather

Re: Introducing myself
Welcome to the forum, definitely a big jump from a Bay 24 which was actually my first cabin style cruiser. A 2355 to be exact.

Re: Introducing myself
Welcome! A big jump in so many ways. Looks like your first cruise is going to be a long one. Make sure to plan well and test every system/mechanical part before you shove off. That trip is not going to be the time for any surprises. Too bad it took so long to take physical possession. Hope all goes well, keep us in the loop as you travel if possible. That way Viper, who is our resident expert, will be a resource for you.

Re: Introducing myself
My wife and I just purchased a Carver 3807, it just went through a sea trial and marine survey. It a solid vessel with just a few minor issues. I’m actually looking forward to getting her in tip top shape for the next boating season on Lake Texoma, I’m sure I’ll need some advise.

As a 320 Voyager owner I of course have 374 Voyager Envy. Wow, Washington to Alaska! That will be a trip. I am in Minnesota, but I travelled to Washington state and Alaska many times when I worked for Sony (now retired). My last boat before this was slipped in Huntington Beach, Ca and stayed in the ocean for 18 years with only 1 haul out. (A 28 ft Searay).
I really like the Voyager series as I don't need the aft cabin. Welcome!
