Just picked up a new to us 404 CPMY. Spent the first night on it with the kids this weekend and wanted to convert the dinette to the bed, and couldn't figure out how to get the pole removed so that we could drop the table to the rails.
Does anyone know how to do this? I've searched the manuals and internet with no luck - please help!

I have a 355, very similar boat. Just loosen the lower ring and the post will slide down into the salon floor. You don't have to remove the post.

That big bolt that locks the leg in...I have to completely remove it for the table to drop.

You should just turn the handle on the bolt a few turns counter clock and the table should drop.
If it hasn't bee used in awhile some twisting and turning may be required to drop it.
