I totally see you with this!!!!! Soon we will see the Hans Store Of Parts!!!!!!!

I do not see myself using this as a tool to turn a personal profit but to make stuff for a few friends would be more my style. ;-)

I could justify the purchase/cost for the shop and get the bonus of playing with it for personal stuff. In fact I think I will have someone bring it to me today to put it in my garage as I am confined for another 7 days since my trip to Florida. Getting a little bored and need something to stimulate me. :-D

Have you looked at some of the free source files out there? There's a ton of them, and some pretty creative/useful stuff. Not as challenging as programing yourself and producing something you designed but it's a start. I'm sure there's forums and blogs out there too that would be a great source of info.

I actually got into the machine today and yes I did find several sites that offer free stuff, tons of it, too much in fact as it makes your head spin. Decided to print out a simple, small, smartphone charge cable holder just for the heck of it. Took about 15 minutes and the product was exceptional in every respect. This is going to be a boatload of fun not to mention practical. At least I know the basics now and will continue to play around and learn as time goes on.

As for the parts I need to fabricate for the shop, I will simply give this to the guys who do CAD in the office and have them draw it up for now. Even saw on a few sites where you can have stuff drawn up for you for a fee.

There also seems to be scanners out there to scan parts existing parts, will look into that also.
Cheers, Hans

Just make sure , when you use your 3 d printer you have good air circulation, I believe it was about two years ago a couple die from their carbon monoxide that the machine let's out. So just food for thought

A 3d printer does not produce CO as it simply melts its media. A laser cnc on the other hand must be treated with respect as this burns material and does create CO..

Hello! Would you be able to produce these? I've been trying to find these metal nameplates...just the "CARVER" part...NO ONE has them.

I'd like the old style separate letters, anyone else in need of those? I'll upload a pic later.
