95 Carver 370 ACMY Listing to Starboard

Wondering if anyone else has a 370 ACMY that lists slightly to Starboard?

My fuel tanks are both at the same level and my water tank (under the aft cabin bed) is empty. When I fill my water tank it gets slightly better but since it's mostly in the center of the boat it really doesn't affect anything. Both waste tanks are empty as well. This has been bugging me for the past couple years, just can't figure out why.

Is there any way to redistribute the weight of stuff you've brought on board by storing the more heavy items on the other side of the boat? You can also relocate heavy hardware like batteries in an effort to even it out or add additional batteries to increase the house bank which solves two problems. As a last resort, you could add ballast to the light side.

The weight is usually distributed evenly when designing a boat so it's strange but you never know what a previous owner has done or whether there are underlying conditions contributing to the list such as a wet deck core, swim platform, etc. Also consider that your fuel tank gauges may not be accurate.

You would be surprised how much weight you can add to a boat with tools, spare parts, food, clothes etc.
My wife may have 500lbs of towels and sheets alone on ours!

Viper. Yes, I have been thinking about adding a bit of ballast to the Port side. All the storage cabinets and galley are on the Starboard side and that makes things tough. I also replaced an old 16k A/C on the Port side which was a beast, with a new one that is half the size and much lighter.

Tom, I agree with you, things you wouldn't think of accumulate quickly and a lot of the time without me knowing.

It doesn't bother anybody else, just the OCD captain.

Also depends on if that weight if fore or aft. Even if you add weight evenly side to side, by adding more fore or aft it changes the buoyance point of the boat, which could shift side to side. My old boat wasn't equipped with air conditioning like most of those models and two of the air conditioners would have been put on the port side of the boat. So my boat was always light on the port side. I'd always run about 30 more gallons on the port tank to even the boat out.

Also, are you really listing? It may be that your bottom paint line is slightly higher on one side, or the swim platform is mounted a little off, providing an optical illusion. That AC unit cold certainly be it, both weight & location. Gear is always more than we think. Finally, maybe it is not the boat. Maybe your lake is not level. Need to get a whatsaflange hammerfore to the bottom of lake to figure that out. er

My 506 lists to Starboard unless I have my port tanl full and my Starboard tank at 3/4. Thank fully a PO installed a fuel polisher and fuel vlave manifold that allows me to transfer fuel. When investigating why the list it is quite obvious. The galley, forward stateroom head, master head all have granite countertops and are to Starboard. The galley has a large fridge/freezer, dish washer and trash compactor all to starboard. Below deck the forward Head holding tank with pump is to starboard as well as a water maker and the Isolation transformer as well as tens of feet of the 50 amp 240 Volt cables, The batteries are centered ant the 21 KV Kohler Generator is mounted slight port of center. Two of the six HVAC units are mounted port of center as well. If I really needed the range I would investigate moving some equipment to port and probably remove the water maker but we don't venture too far from home so 450 gallons of fuel is plenty so Ill just move fuel to keep the boat level.
