Re: Marina Closed due to Covid -19 !
You have to be careful with the examples used to make a case. Some states that look good now have high vaccination rates and climate advantages over others and their death rates were extremely high. Remember all this pandemic started with one case way back. Once this virus has no place to go it will be no longer be able to mutate and spread.
As for athletes, they are tested and monitored constantly, are kept separate and have big restrictions, their own team transport etc etc.....really no comparison to rest of us.....I for one am glad to see games on tv...it is a diversion I look forward to.

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

We're lucky here. All marinas are open for business.

You are not lucky, just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
I cannot even get to the province where I have the boat and the marinas are closed anyway. Last I heard it may go into June. A few miles down river in Quebec, all is open with no boating restrictions in fact even last year when covid started there were no boating restrictions in Quebec.

Yoo Hoo! The CDC here in the states have just given approval for no masks, if you are fully vaccinated, inside or outside. Exceptions are in tight confined spaces. Bus, plane, etc. They opined that if a person is not vaccinated, they should wear masks, until they are. Vaccines are available without appointments in most areas. Also, if a person does not want the vaccine, the risk is on them and that is their choice, so please get vaccinated. First day on the way to the new normal.

Just got an email from our storage marina. As expected it has been pushed to June 3 IF Mr Ford decides to set Ontario free.

Re: Marina Closed due to Covid -19 !
A large marina on Lake Simcoe got fined last weekend for allowing members to congregate in a group. Marina owner got charged, Harbour Master got charged, and the boaters in the group got charged. Again, a lot of folks are going into marinas under the pretense of staying for a short time to do some maintenance but are staying the day and socializing as usual. Bylaw enforcement came in and fined everyone! I keep seeing this everywhere I go. I can just imagine what's going to happen on the long weekend.
