You mean Ontario, not Canada. Kinda like if just Michigan closed to all boaters and the rest of the States did not. Ontario is the only province in Canada with this restriction.

My mistake, thanks for clearing that up for me. Hope Ontario opens the border soon. I like to shop in Ontario too. I am also out of Canadian Cherry Whiskey.

For the record...Quebec did the same thing ( closed the border to Ontario ) at the same time........it was mutual as they were concerned of the rising numbers in Ontario.
Looks like the marinas in Ontario will open on the 22nd.
To start, effective May 22 outdoor recreational amenities can reopen with restrictions in place.
That means marinas and boat docks, golf courses, playgrounds, parks and recreational areas, baseball diamonds, batting cages, sports fields, tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, BMX and skate parks, cycling tracks and bike trails, horse-riding facilities and more can reopen.
Confirmed, boat is scheduled to be hauled out of indoor storage to be put on blocks outside Tuesday where hopefully my wax guy can get to her and I can touch up the bottom paint and hopefully splash later next week for the weekend. Boat is already packed, beds are made and ready for the season with the exception of refrigerated goods.

Spoke to the harbour master and he said Quebecers are allowed through to go to their boats. Have a good friend of mine that is going to Ontario on Saturday as a mechanic. He said he would ask the question directly to the police at the border if one can come up just to enjoy the boat if one has a seasonal dock in Ontario. Will see what he comes back with.
The Ontario government announced Thursday the stay-at-home order will remain in effect until June 2. The stay-at-home order includes restricted travel from Quebec into Ontario
Now that the marinas seem to be opening, they have closed the bridge on the Trans Canada highway that connects Montreal to Toronto as of yesterday. This must be the busiest artery in Canada for transportation of goods with 87,000 vehicles a day crossing. There are alternate routes however they will come to an almost complete stop with all the traffic going there. Closure is indefinite at this point due to reinforcing steel failure! This also happens to be the way I travel to get to my boat. I do have alternatives which will add about 45 min to the normal 2 hr drive.
