The part I was also wrestling with is how the panels are also glued to the brackets. I would certainly use 4200 for that part in case of panel replacement someday.

Here is a diagram that I was given by my solar supplier. It is the same as what you drew, just laid out differently. The only thing that is missing is connecting the 2 pos and the 2 neg leads to the “Y” connectors reducing the wires to 2, pos and neg back to the controller. This will give you the in series and parallel that you advised you were looking for. Hope it helps.

Do they not bolt to the panels? If not, the 4200 should do the trick.

That diagram has what my thoughts are except I am going to make TWO circuits of 2 panels to a branch connector, as I cant place all next to each other. I wont have a way to access those bolts using the plastic brackets, hence the 4200. THANK YOU!

SO I have decided to use elevator bolts mounted to the aluminum brackets and then 4200 the heads of the elevator bolts to the aft hardtop. I was going to buff out the top first , and then wax. Would some acetone be enough to remove the wax where the panels were going to be adhered to?

It will adhere to a waxed surface however I also would prefer to remove the wax just because it makes me feel better knowing the job was done to perfection. Acetone will work fine but overkill, just use some rubbing alcohol which will do the job.

Thank you. I am going to mount the brackets to the panels and then apply 4200 to the elevator bolt heads. Then place on hardtop and allow to cure in place.

I wiped the area of the fibreglass, where the bolts are going, with acetone to ensure a good seal. However, Midnight Sun is probably right as well.

That’s just what I preferred to do.
