Question for you electronics guys or gals. The Carver I bought in August came with a Gateway 17" LCD TV. I am getting ready to put the boat on the hard for the upcoming winter season. My question is: Should I take the TV home or will I possibly damage it by leaving it on the boat over the winter. Temps here can get as low as -20* F.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Take It Home
I can't say the temperature would hurt it, but when I used to keep my boats in the cold, I would remove any instrument with lcds and other liquids home for the winter.
There's one way to find out - leave it in there this winter and see if it still works in the spring.

Re: Take It Home
I have 5 on my boat Rick, all LCD. They stay on the boat, no issue. You have to remember, those TV's sit inside 53' highway trailers for weeks on end while logistics moves them around the country from warehouse to retail.
Leave them on the boat, way less hassle and no chance of dropping them!

Re: Take It Home
Thanks everyone. I have decided to bring the TV home for the winter. It will give us an additional TV to use in the 3rd bedroom if needed. Will bring it back to the boat in the spring.
