Power panel amp question
Good morning, new owner here.
I have a 2002 Carver Mariner 350. Yesterday I noticed that the main meters are showing 110 v when plugged into shore power, and everything seems to be working.
However, the meters show almost 0 (zero) amps drawn, and also the green lights to show "Shore #1 Safe" and "Shore #2 Safe" do not turn on. I have never noticed if the green lights on the panel ever turned on.
When the a/c kicks on, the amp meter needle moves to show initial draw and then returns to slightly above one amp.
I turned on water pump and did not notice any movement in the amp needle.
Thoughts?
Sorry, here is photo of the panel.

Re: Power panel amp question
When the AC turned on, did the compressor actually turn or or just the fan?
Your water pump is 12v. It will not affect your amp meter.

Re: Power panel amp question
Thanks for the water pump info!
Yes, the a/c compressor did kick on and cold air came out.
I expected to see more amps drawn with systems on, and more importantly why no "green" light illuminated.

Re: Power panel amp question
Can't speak to the "green light" as we don't have that, but good sign is that the red 'reverse polarity' light is not lit!!
Put a large load like a water heater, microwave or even use a portable space heater and turn it on and you should see the amps gauges move. Depending on the size of your A/C unit, it may read anywhere from 5-12A. Your meter may also not be reading entirely accurately. The water pump for your A/C would probably be about 1-2A

Re: Power panel amp question
If its like ours, we can only see those lights in the dark, very dim.......

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

As Bud37 said.....
In addition, when I turn on my water heater, I can see a small movement in the AMP meter.
Your setup sounds normal...

Re: Power panel amp question
The green lights are most likely just burnt out from age. Not a big deal. If your meter shows 120v your are good there.
The a/c should be on shore power #2. I cant blow up the pics, but it looks like you have 60amp gauges on what I would guess is a 30 amp feed. So I would try to figure out the scale. Looks like the first number is 20, so the needle wouldn't move very far with one a/c unit running, it should jump to around 10 on start up.

Re: Power panel amp question
Meters show 120v just like they should but the ammeters do not move at all really even with 2 ac's running.
