engine seacocks stuck

my engine seacocks wont open or close, I have cat engines. It very difficult to access the handle, its a very tight access.
I am thinking of a pvc pipe to get some leverage. I have tried to purchase a ---seacock helper. there doesn't seem to be any in stock anywhere.

A piece of pvc will work fine.......be careful and go a little at a time back and forth as the extra force can break the ball connection inside. If all is well now I would wait until you store the boat then you can pull the hoses and spray lube in there. If it goes bad it can be repaired without too much drama.

I'm with bud, wait until she comes out of the water for the winter. The last thing you want to do is break something while you're in the water and have an emergency on your hands.

The seacocks should move freely. If this was a salt water boat, you may want to consider replacing them all over the winter. A corroded shaft inside the unit can break and if that happens while in the water, you could have an overheat and or a leak. This is also a safety device which you want to be able to access and close easily in an emergency.

Thank you for the suggestions, I am out of the water and will order 2. They look easier to open the seacocks
