I think it depends on where you're at in the fresh water. If you are in a smaller lake or one that gets warm, then algae can definitely be an issue. If you're in a cooler lake or on/near a river one that flows and prevents the growth of algae then it might not be much of an issue. A lot of the marinas around us it can make a difference if you're near the entrance to the marina (close to the lake) or in the back where there's more stagnant waters.Midnightsun wrote:QR_BBPOST Nothing wrong with lake water intake as long as you are in fresh water.
