Slider Door Lock

Post by SeattleMatt »

Does anyone know what brand or what type of replacement lock I can get for this slider. I searched could not find any brand info markings whatsoever.

I need a new lock tumbler and I've ordered a few, but nothing seems to fit so far.

SeattleMatt, I replaced them on both of my Santego’s. They are from Adam Rite and are a MS1847 series deadlock. Check out adamsrite.com

Thank you for helping me identify the lock set, that's helpful. Now I am having trouble just finding the Tumblr everywhere only seems to just sell the entire door latch. I'll keep looking

SeattleMatt, you can order the entire assembly from Adam’s Rite, the tumbler and all with the lock set. It’s all in the order number. IIRC one number is for left or right, another number for with or without the tumbler and yet another number for the finish.

SeattleMatt, I gave you the wrong number. You want a 4190 flush lockset. It is the one that comes complete with the lock cylinder (tumbler) and you reuse your deadlock.

funny, I only have the slide-lock on the outside... seems someone got it wrong or threw the lockable part out and mounted this one on the outside. I use a separate latch with lock to lock it up.

I ordered the lock cylinder from Architectural Builders Supply

Adams Rite 29-0461-03-01 Adams Rite 29-0461-03-01 Insert Cylinder W/ 2 Keys - Schlage "C" Keyway
1 $27.95

Ridiculuous amount of $$ for a lock tumbler, but oh well.

FYI, the full slider latch with lock is part 4431(abs) or 4191(metal), 4430/4190 are the non-lockable versions

I'm considering adding a hasp latch to the outside of the slider for increased security. Do you have a picture of what you have?

the lock itself is nothing against a burglar but enough too make it not too easy to get into the boat.

Thank You both SeattleMatt & ColRon, this was exactly what I needed for our 370 Voyager. Even decided to order an interior pull for the kids and to make opening the door easier.

For anyone's future reference here is a clip from the Adams Rite (now Assa Abloy) flush lockets catalog.
