Help Please!

Hows it going. New member hear and in complete panic mode. I'm in ohio and I bought a 76 santa cruz 28 ft. I've been around boats on lake cumberland my whole life but never a twin engine? When I bought the boat I asked to gear the engines run. He started one for me. The started went out on the second. Needless to say I now need to winterize it. Had freezing Temps already but kept a heater in the engine bay. I don't know how to get the damn thing running to get it to operating Temps. Its turning over and wanting to start with starting fluid but won't keep running. As if its not getting gas. I'm not sure which way I should have the fuel voltage switch. Down middle or up. Any help would be much appreciate. Thank u in advance

Seems you may not have gas flowing to the engines. Check to see if your fuel filters are good. Fuel filters can develop leaks to compromise fuel flow. Are these I/O's or inboards? In cold weather, you may need to prime the fuel a lot at the throttle, to get gas to the carbs. You have manual fuel pumps, so that prime process takes time. Not sure what you mean by fuel voltage switch. Sounds like a 3 position switch, middle is off, up may be to check one fuel tank level, down to check other fuel tank level. Look for fuel tank selector switches and make sure they are in proper position. Engines should not have had any freeze damage unless those freezing temps were low enough for an extended period of time. Are you still in the water? If so, the water temp itself would have kept engines from freezing. Drove through your area yesterday. Good Luck. er

You could just drain them by finding all the drain plugs. Usually one on each side of the block and one for each manifold and one for each riser. You also should find one on the oil cooler(s) and one for the raw water pump(s). If you do drain them, also make sure to stick something in the hole while they're draining in case some debris is blocking the drain.
