Transom Box Locks

Post by gmac98004 »

Hi Everyone,

This lock on my 355 transom box was corroded and wouldn't lock. Cam was frozen and I broke it off.

So............3 weeks ago, everything in the box was stolen. Ughhhhh.

Does anyone know what the specs are for this lock? I didn't remove it and would like to get it ordered. I didn't see it in the parts manual for the 1998 355 Aft.

Any help would be super outstanding.

Wow! Thanks for the link. I'm going to see there is something with those dims that has a lock feature. If not, this is a great start!

Thank you So much Seaweed! It's a perfect match and the lock is now on order.

Not so great website, but they have exactly what we need!

Take Care, Greg

Not sure but Boat Outfitters website has a lot of hardware and locks that I found similar to my Carver's hardware. Try boatoutfitters.com.

I used the same one as G36 but bought on amazon for about $30. They did have a locking option for a couple dollars more.
I chose not to use a lock. If someone wants in, I would rather have them take the stuff in the box than break the box and do 10x times the $ damage of what's in the box.
