We did the same, also it was supposed to help with keeping the twist out of the chain but not really....we still did the yearly ritual of dropping the chain and pulling it in straight keeping the twist out of the chain and starting with twist free chain.....
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

That's always on my list to met up with you and your lovely wife. After a lot of chatting with my better half, we will stick to the Rocna. NOW, the big question is the 20 or 25. 20 is the size Rocna says. Don't want to oversize for the wrong reasons.

Got mine after a call to Rocna Canada. Had a great conversation with one of their experts . We both agreed that the 20 kg would do the job but the 25 kg would be the cherry on the cake. Looked around and , he also said that as of March 1st, all the prices are going up due to the cost of metal, the best price I found was a Boat Sal Special at The Chanderly in Ottawa. The sale is over as of Sunday. When I called the Rigging Shop in Scarbough, I asked if they could be the price at the Chanderly, and there was no way they could. His words were, "Buy it. We don't know where he got those prices." So I did.

Steel prices have gone up tremendously over the last 2 years, over 200% and does not seem to be stopping. Fall of last year we purchased all estimated steel required for work in 2022. Close to 12 truck loads! only way to not guess at prices when quoting. Steel suppliers in both the US and Canada will only guarantee the price for 3 days when quoting. When ordering large quantities, the price will be what it is when the mill ships so we do not even know what we will be paying. :-O
