Carver 390 aft strainer cleaning on starboard side

Hello, has anyone tried to clean the starboard side strainer. On my boat it is very hard to reach. Wanted some ideas how to reach it to clean it out. Thanks Rick

No clue how a 390 looks or is configured however on my CMY the stairs come out to give great access for oil changes and strainers. The 2 big brass caps to either side of the jerry jug are my strainers.

Picture was taken last end of season when doing my oil changes.

Welcome aboard Rick. If yours is in front of the engine and you can't crawl in there between the engine and the hatch opening, go into the space in front of the port engine and if you have a generator in the middle, lay across the stringers in front of the generator. You should be able to reach the strainer from there if your set up is the way I think it is. Let us know how it goes.

Maintance is never thought about imo. Sometimes you get lucky.
