Carver really didn't have any OEM parts. Pretty much anything other than the Hull and cabinetry was supplied by third parties.

Re: Where do you Buy OEM parts now?
Welcome aboard Chad. Depends on what you're looking for. There's not much that's Carver specific save for some stuff that was manufactured at their plant like maybe molded/integrated hull vents, etc. Everything else is pretty much generic from other manufacturers specializing in the hardware needed to put a vessel together. The challenge here is that the resource for finding out who the manufacturer's were for given parts is gone now. The good news is that many of us here have gone through sourcing parts for our models and likely have contact info for the parts you're looking for.

I want to replace my Bimini but didn't really want to use my custom Bimini builder in my neighborhood to do so. I was just hoping to get something that was almost original.

You are much better off having a local canvas shop do this work.

I agree. That also means you can customize them better to suit YOUR use or desires, such as adding zip-out sections or integrated screens.tomschauer wrote:QR_BBPOST You are much better off having a local canvas shop do this work.
Take a look around at other boats to see how theirs are configured to see if you'd like some of those features.

How about a fuel gauge that actually reports with something resembling accuracy? I pretty sure someone installed the wrong gauge in mine, as it wasn't working, until I unplugged one of the two gauges (either the lower helm, or at the flybridge). But even then, it doesn't seem to move much..tomschauer wrote:QR_BBPOST Carver really didn't have any OEM parts. Pretty much anything other than the Hull and cabinetry was supplied by third parties.

Re: Where do you Buy OEM parts now?
Most of the time a poorly functioning fuel gauge is caused by a poor ground connection. Usually happens at the tank sender location where the wires get connected to the sender. Try removing the connection, cleaning it up and tightening it.
