Ventrifigo

Post by tonyiiiafl »

Tried finishing up the Ventrifigo swap out. Installed the mounting flange and slid it into place. However, my fears came true. The wire bunch at the back of the enclosure prevent the unit from butting up against the mounting flange. Not a day ruined though. I bought some 1” x 4” pine. I am going to rip it to 2” wide. I need 1.5 inches to just clear the wiring, so another 1/2” for safety. I will mount these spacer boards to the original cabinet, and then paint flat black like the cabinet and mount flange to it. Yeah, it will stick out another 1.5”, but if I play my cards right it should look like it grew there. Pics to follow soon.

Just when all looks great there is aa speed bump.

Over the years my experience has been, that the projects that were supposed to be simple bolt ons were not anything close to that and additionally required the most engineering and tools for the correct install.........no exceptions so far.. :-D ....good luck man, sounds like you got it.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
