Hi viper, yes a bid jump in size. I have been wanting a 500 ever since I saw one at a boat show in the 90’s. I just missed out on one recently unfortunately. Since being in one of the most locked down states in the world over Covid the decision has been made to sell up the house and cars furniture etc and move permanently onto my dream boat. At first it will be a lake’s live aboard in Gippsland as I learn the intricacies of a 50ft cruiser then up the Australian coast to retire on the Great Barrier Reef. We’ll that’s the plan anyway. Wanting boat asap eager to start my new life.

Hi aussie530carver yes that’s the one I missed out on. Spoke to Tony a couple of weeks ago and gave him my details in case it goes up for sale again. I believe it is berthed at Metung.

Hi Golf, I bought thar 500 through Tony and did what you were planning. Spent a couple of months in metung learning the boat and doing some much needed repairs and maintenance. I brought the boat up to qld 2 weeks ago. 3 and a half days at about 9 knots. A good run and very economical. Now getting ready to use the boat locally before venturing north. Hi Redraba7 Living the dream (well my dream anyway) yes I saw that your boat was at paynesville getting work done. What a beautiful boat you have. How did it handle the trip up north?
