QR_BBPOST There are concerns from engine builder that the surfaces cannot be restored to seal well with the exhaust manifold. They are going off photos, so I realize it's not an exact assessment.

I agree, they would have to measure pitting etc to accurately decide if the defects can be machined out and still retain the mating surface.
