No start Alarm Spark or fuel at start

Post by Postmaan »

1996 Carver 355. Engine quit after cruising for 30 min with no negative indications. Will not start now. Do not get the ding ding alarm when I turn the key to run. Not getting a spark or fuel during start but the starter will turn over. Must be electrical but we can’t pinpoint the issue. Any ideas?

Crusader 454 fuel injected.

Also checked electrical unit on other engine and worked fine. Not sure what to do.

Thanks

There should be a breaker on the engine, did you check to see if it was tripped? I would also check what the battery voltage drops down to when you crank her over. If it drops too low, she won't fire. Also check all your battery connections to ensure they are tight and clean. Check the grounds on the engines as well. Was this just one engine that quit and won't run now?

Was it just running along and stopped suddenly without slowing down or sputtering etc......if so probably the breaker viper mentioned.....although if it tripped there has to be a reason.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
